Happy Holidays! "Little Do They Know" (December 2010)

Hope everyone is enjoying the holiday season so far!

For some of you who may be wondering, I decided to put my Little Do They Know comic strips on hiatus to focus on some other career & personal objectives this year...and to be honest, I wasn't too sure how I wanted this project to evolve quite yet.  Knowing me, it could take a while before I figure this out...and you might see bits and pieces every now and then (like this post, for instance)...but at least that little girl is sticking around ;)

That said, thank you for the support, inspiration, and encouragement out there – especially from family and friends, to whom I am very grateful.

Please click below to view a special Little Do They Know holiday strip, which is also featured on this year's holiday card.  Happiest of Holidays! :)

Sketchbook catchup...

I'm trying really hard not to slack on my sketchbook outside of work...so here are a few pages from the last few weeks.  Sketches were done on location, with touchups at home.
Thanks for visiting!

Painting for "$99 Only Show"

Sorry for the last minute post...I submitted a painting (at the last minute) for the "$99 Only Show" which takes place this Friday, December 3 (6pm-10pm).  Below is my piece:

"Shopping at Sunset" (acrylic on 6" x 6" wooden panel)
Price:  $99
I saw this little old lady delicately making her way across the street the other day.  She appeared to be looking forward to something after a long day...and it basically inspired me to paint this.  I guess it's just nice to always have something to look forward to...wherever and whenever.

The "$99 Only Show" is curated by No Artificial Flavors and will take place for one-night only at:
Stoneworks Studio & Gallery:
300 N. Ventura Ave.
Ventura, CA 93001

**All artwork will be $99 or less, and 5% of each sale goes to help local food banks & charities.

I'll be posting info on another upcoming group show soon.  Thanks for your support!
